Where the heck did my spell check go!?

All of a sudden I have no spell check. I'm a pretty bad speller too, so this could end bad. Anyways, today was my first appointment with my O.B. It went very well! He gave me a couple things to try for all the nausea I've been having and a perscription for some prenatal vitamins. I also had an ultrasound done! Heres the very first picture of our new baby:

Really not too much to see yet. He said I'm right around 6 weeks, which is where I thought I would be.  I asked him what the chances of me going into labor early would be since I had Thomas at 36 weeks. He told me that the chances were pretty high but nothing to worry about. I have some blood work to get done in the next 2 weeks and then I go back for my 2nd appointment on January 14th.  I forgot about all the doctor visits and tons of testing I went though the last time. Bring it on!

Sick!

There is a group of women out there that think they didn’t get morning sickness because they wouldn’t allow themselves to. Like, they think throwing up all day, every day is a state of mind.

“Oh, I just wouldn’t allow myself to throw up,” she says while rubbing her nonexistent belly. “So I didn’t.”

Any pregnant woman that comes across these types of women should turn the other way and run as fast as she can (which might just be lumbering gently away). Why? This woman has the “Miracle of Life Syndrome.”

Every little gas pain and tummy rumble is special. They feel like they’re “glowing” and just love every last bit of pregnancy, right down to the hemorrhoids.

You do not want to be friends with these women. They will brag about “easy” labors. Their babies will sleep through the night by the end of the first week.

Worst of all? She’ll be fitting into her “skinny jeans” by her six week postpartum checkup. Never trust a woman that can fit into her skinny jeans that quickly.

Find yourself someone with hyperemesis. She won’t ask if you “tried crackers.” She’ll be truthful about labor and will be your friend in sweatpants for that first year after the baby.Never underestimate the value of a friendship where you can go grocery shopping together in your pajamas. -The Sarcastic Journalist

So I'm feeling pretty crappy these last couple days.  I'm so sick to my stomach that I can barely get off the couch.  I'm really trying my best to give every little bit of attention I have in me to play with Thomas. My house is a wreck and I feel like I'm going to vomit every second of the day. Nothing seems to help.  With Thomas I was feeling pretty yucky until I was about 15 weeks. Well I'm somewhere around 6 weeks so I guess only 9 more weeks of sickness! ahhh! I keep trtying to tell myself that it is all for a good cause, and it is, so that keeps me going.  Tuesday is my first appointment. Wish me luck!!

4 Weeks

Here I am at 4 weeks pregnant. Not too much different from what I usually look like. I'm feeling rather bloated right now and sooo exhausted! I can't wait for my first doctor appointment, which won't be until after Christmas. I guess nothing really shows up until around 7 weeks (outside of a little yolk sack).  The last couple days have been fairly uneventful.  I've been just laying around for the most part. It took every ounce of energy to clean the downstairs of my house today. I'm determined to make it to the gym tomorrow. I haven't been there for about a week.  Working out a little bit each day really made a world of difference when I was pregnant with Thomas.

Look closely folks. That is a big fat positive on the pregnancy test I took this morning. We are so excited that we can barely contain ourselves! According to the due date calculator on the Internet I should be due around August 22nd of 201o. I will be heading to the doctor sometime next week just to confirm everything. We both told our family today, the only people we haven't gotten a hold of is my grandparents who live in Arizona. I will try them again tomorrow. In other news, yesterday James and I took little Thomas to Kraynak's for his first visit. He was in awe of all the lights and scenes. It was a wonderful time. We some of his Christmas shopping there as well. We let him run around and the stuff he showed the most interest in we bought for him. He ended up with a train set, a basketball hoop and a tractor. He really liked this miniature shopping cart too but that would have been a bad idea seeing as I like having walls and all. He met Santa for the first time and was not too fond of him at all. As soon as we came within feet of him little Thomas tensed up and stuck out his lower lip. I didn't press the issue at all. When he's ready for Santa he will let us know. After Kraynak's we got our Christmas tree and went home to decorate it. Thomas went to bed at 6:30 pm and didn't wake up until 7:30 the next morning! He's never slept that long. Well, I'm out for the night. Lots more updates coming soon! Can't wait to post some ultrasound pictures here in a couple weeks.

You have no idea what it took to get this picture. The candy cane is cute and all, but really its bribery. This is the picture we are putting on our Christmas cards. I'm picking them up tomorrow and I can't wait to see how they turned out! That's all I have time for today folks, have a good one!

sleeping beauty

Here are a couple funny pictures of Thomas falling asleep at awkward times or in weird positions.

This last one is of my nephew Ashtyn who fell asleep with a bat this past weekend. He also likes to sleep with one eye open. He is bad ass.

Okay onto the issue of the day. I really love that song by Kesha "tick tock." The only thing I can wrap around my head is this part of the song:

"and the dudes are lining up cause they hear we got swagger

but we kick em to the curb unless they look like MICK JAGGER!?!?!"

Apparently she doesn't know what Mick Jagger looks like these days

I guess it rhymes though.

Its been over a year!

Wow I really have fallen off of the blogging bandwagon! I really wanted to give this blogging thing a good try and I quit after 3 posts. Well I'm giving it another go. Lets see.... where to start? I guess I'll try and fill in the blanks over the last year since I have a minute. Thomas just assed out in his high chair eating diner and watching "The Wiggles." Anywho, we got our house last December. We actually signed all the paperwork on Christmas Eve 08. We have done a TON of work. We painted every wall and revamped every floor in the house. We are hoping to fix it up and sell it in a couple of years. I have a couple of before and after photos somewhere..let me see if I can pull them up

Thomas's bedroom before
And after
James painted the above pictures and I just adore them =)

I'll put more up down the road when I get the chance. Okay now where was I? Oh yeah, we bought a house in Dec. Really the rest of the last year is a blur. It was filled with sleepless nights and memory loss. I guess I'll jump to Thomas turning one in July! Wow that flew by! Literally, not just in this blog ;) We had his birthday party at The Woods clubhouse and it was really great. We had such a good time and we are all so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to love and spoil our little boy just as James and I do. He is going on 17 months now. I really can't believe it. I do have to say I have fallen more and more in love with him everyday. Sometimes I wonder how I could possibly love him anymore than I already do. He is now running at top speeds of 90 miles an hour now and jibbering up a storm. He will run to me when I come home and grab onto my leg so tight. I can't imagine any better feeling in the world. He's also learned to kiss recently and he will come up to me at the most unexpected moments and plant one right on my lips. I love it. James and I are still very much in love and ready for baby #2. I can't wait to give our little Thomas a sister or brother! We are planning on getting married sometime in the future but it's just not a possibility right now. We like to do things in the reverse order. Baby, house, baby...engagement? Hopefully that will be the next word in this sequence =) Well that is the last year summed up. I probably could have gone into quite a bit more detail but for the sake of saving time so that I can wake my little one up right now I will stop here. I'm going to make an effort to start blogging on a more regular basis!
